Anybody out there know where I can obtain a piccolo trumpet finger chart for a Bb/A piccolo trumpet?

Hi:

Since you're asking about fingering, I assume you have a 4-valve picc. You don't really need a chart as there are only a few differences (although the 4th valve DOES allow many more alternates). The 4th tube is, essentially, the equivalent of the 1st and 3rd together, so you can play the low "D" with the 4th valve alone (and not have to pull the third slide). The low C# can be played as 2-4. The real benefit of the 4th valve is in letting you go below the low F#, however... All you really need to do is hold down the 4th valve and do "normal" fingering with the first 3, 'til you get down to the lower F# (all 4 valves down). I have to warn you, though, that anything below (about) an E sounds pretty bad (at least for me). I play a Yamaha 6810S, BTW...

thats nice but it can be confusing at first....

this is the simple chart I use - the only difference is that you add the forth valve to your normal fingerings when going below F#....

F = 1 -4
E = 1-2-4
Eb = 2-3-4
D = 1-3-4
C# = 1-2-3-4
