If you look closely at the overhead pic showing the whole bell, "YROK" is in fact engraved lengthwise along the bell! This horn reminds me of one that I could swear was Chinese, listed on German eBay...

Someone in my band brought in a chinese cornet last week that had (believe it or not) an old large Olds type mouthpiece receiver. I can only assume it was a specification error. It also had no top G - it had something between an F and an F# instead. Without doubt the worst brass instrument I have played on ever.

I don't think that's a York. I believe it's, at best, a wall hanger or a lamp base.

Agreed. An oddball Chinese "top quality" horn that extra effort was put into for better looks...

I'm skeptical that it was made in China. It has the look of a French-made instrument, with the French-style bell and the inner-threaded bottom valve caps.
