Anybody have the lowdown on this instrument? Was this a special custom made order of some kind or what? A copy of the old King Master?

Indeed. Although, it would have certainly helped you to enhance your transposition skills!

The seller should probably clarify the key of the instrument. I'll send him a note.

I snuck a 2 piston Dynasty into an orchestra rehearsal back in school (low trumpet part on Bizet's L'Arlesienne suite). Got some odd looks, but it worked great for the low As![/url]

It has a slide saddle for tuning any note. That's kinky!!
