They have marching bands?

I can't tell if this is hilarious... maybe it's still funny even if they do.

My college had division III athletics and no marching band.
My high school had won the top class football championships a few times and had no marching band.

Northwestern. I heard Barbara and Charlie teach everyone to play da dubba C before the first football game. Also, they march C trumpets.

Sound like schools I'd want to attend.

I did hear UT's marching band recently on the teevee for about 5 seconds. They sounded pretty good.

"Script Ohio" is certainly the most "goose-bump" inducing marching band formation to watch of any formation of any marching band anywhere. I never get tired of seeing it.

script ohio? yes.. writing 'ohio' in cursive is very goose-bump inducing. we can follow-the-leader and write out 'University of Southern California' for 30 minutes while driving it the whole way.

however, the tuba player who took out the camera man was great.

also, the youtube above is called 'the play'.. and no, that is not a tough band. stanford is pretty stupid and the band got banned all together a couple years back.

USC Trojan Marching Band ALL THE WAY! FIGHT ON!
You also get to be in the Laker Band, if you are good enough, which I was.
also american idol, grammy's, glee, how i met your mother, and many more!

I've heard several of these bands live and from what ive heard "The Ohio" state sounded horrible live, they play all brass instruments, which i am a fan of, but their Eb cornets sounded like kazoos

USC was a bit better than ohio, but they still sounded sloppy and looked the same.

I am not a fan of LSU's band at all, but it was much better than the other two i've mentioned.

Not sure what qualifications you guys are looking for, you would def. need to include schools like Southern, Grambling, FAMU... those schools have have ridiculous power, usually slop drill, and a bunch of people playing DHCs

p.s, boooo UT, UC-davis (doesn't even deserve a boo), A&M, U of I

I also agree, "I am not show what the criteria is you are using to judge these bands" but Grambling State, Southern, Mississippi Valley, Florida A&M along with other schools from the SWAC should not be excluded. As a trumpet player marching band was hard on my chops and always required a recuperation period after the season ended.
