Title says it.

I know there are other professional and professional level "amateurs" on the forum who give valuable help and a hardy thanks to them, but I particularly appreciate that, with what must be a busy schedule, Tim Wendt takes the time to add his valuable advice.

Here is one guy who does it all. And when he gives advice or makes an observation, I know that I can, with complete confidence, take it at its face value. With so many charlatans or more so, well-meaning but unqualified advice givers, on internet forums, his presence is a breath of fresh air.

So Tim, if you're reading this - thanks, man! You don't have to take the time to do this, but I'm (we're) really glad that you do.

Mahalo and Aloha nui loa,
(thanks and a ton of Aloha)

Well stated - I completely agree. I look forward to reading his words when I see that he's posted.

I like his leadpipe swab too - definitely a worthwhile purchase.

I use the swab, I read his advice carefully, love the stories, and I appreciate Tim's always-positive attitude. He gave me a quote about my playing that I am very proud to have. Thanks to you, Tim.

I don't think there's enough love here for Tim, so let me chime in =)

I first met Tim in the mid-80's out in Riverside, CA. Hearing him play was pretty much my first exposure to what a strong lead player sounded like "up close and personal".

When I was in the market for a new mouthpiece (when are we not, right?) my good pal Larry Hart and I went to Tim because he was a Warburton agent. That afternoon, we decided on a Warburton 4M and KT backbore - a combination I used for the next decade. His knowledge, enthusiasm, talent, experience and common sense helped me zero in right away, and it proved to be "the one" for quite some time.

We didn't keep in touch much until I ended up at Kanstul, almost ten years ago. By that time, Tim had already been a sort of unofficial spokesman for Kanstul, having helped introduce the Signature line (now known as our 1500-1600 Series). When I was hired as sales manager, Zig told me to contract Tim to help with various trade shows from NAMM to ITG. Once again, Tim's talents and professionalism came in handy.

To this day, Tim is a busy player - fully supporting himself through his craft and "living the dream". No gig too far or pays too little, heh heh (my words, not his). But seriously, he is called upon frequently because he can read, lead, and nail the book. As well, he'll freely share his knowledge and experience. His musical knowledge and sense of style are the real deal, and it comes through in his playing.

In the time I've known him, I've found Tim to be not only a fabulous player, but also a "stand-up" guy, a great travel companion and I consider him among my very closest of friends.

Keep up the great work, Tim!

Tim is very conscientous regarding the customers he serves. I'm glad to have 3 of his leadpipe swabs, and I gave a fourth to a guy who likely needed it after having his old Olds completely redone.

Never had the chance to hear him live or meet him yet.

But Thanks Tim--

John
