I love the B2, but when I got a Prana B2 it's sometimes too big both in sound and feel so I still use the standard about half the time when I need to lighten up... What about downsizing when converting to Prana?, say, a B8. Anyone on the TH go that route?

As a side note, on Bach I like the 7C, 10 1/2C, and even the itsy bitsy 20C which a blast to play, and wouldn't be caught dead on Bach's B2 equivalent, 1 1/4 C. It goes to show how different Monnettes are.

How about trying a B3? It's a tad smaller than a 2 series, and i find it much more manageable.

Having moved over to Prana mpcs, (it only took 3 goes to get there) I'd also think of the 82 backbore and small throat option (they're a #20 drill rather than a #15 or 17!). This setup with a slap cup, works really well for me on a C. And Bb, and picc...

I find the smaller rims have much different contour compared to the 2 or 3.

cheers

Andy
