Silverplated Bb trumpet only markings are engraved bell American Artist with floral pattern surrounding. Serial number 2298 on middle valve casing and on each valve metal valve guides make wide for alignment. Horn has case and mouthpiece no markings on either and a lyre marked Getzen. One water key on tuning slide and a lyre slot on third slide. Missing stop rod for third slide. Trumpet was wife's grandfather and supposedly played in hs and college. Grandfather went to school in Minnesota.[img/Users/markmendez/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Masters/2012/01/14/20120114-085828/IMG_6754.JPG[/img/Users/markmendez/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Previews/2012/01/14/20120114-085828/IMG_6734.JPG

It's probably a stencil made by a major manufacturer.
If you could post a live link to the photo so we could get a look at it...

You can find some examples of American Artist instruments on horn-u-copia.net in the Progressive Musical Instruments Corp. section.

My guess is that it was made by H.N.White, maker of King.
The pull knobs are missing, so it's a little hard to tell.
