I don't know if this post is in the right forum, so if it isn't, my apologies.

Last night I figured out how to kind of do multiphonics on my trumpet. It's pretty rough, but it's there. I don't really know if there's any practical use for it, I just think it's really cool. Does anyone have any advice on them or know if there's an trumpet lit out there that incorporates multiphonics?

I seem to remember being told that the best way to start is with mouthpiece only while singing the same note you are buzzing.

Simultaneously vocalizing while playing is probably the most common method, though some people create an intentional "double-buzz" to achieve multiphonics. You can hear examples of this in Peter Evans's playing. (4:30 into the video)
