If a newbie was interested in gaining a basic but solid understanding of what Claude Gordon and his method was about, which one book would you recommend?
Also, where is the best (read 'cheapest') place to get it? _________________ “Do or do not... there is no try.” |

I would say "Brass Playing Is No Harder Than Deep Breathing". _________________ Crazy Nate aka Jive-a-licious

Brass playing is no harder than deep breathing is an excellent book to understand what Claude taught and on understanding exactly how everything works. If you are wanting playing material it's difficult to just get only one book as you play exercises from many different ones in a 'claude' routine. I recommend talking to either jeff purtle or John Mohan if you are interested in starting Claude's way!
Hope this helps!
