Hello. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on the best suitable lead trumpet mouthpiece that I could switch and adjust to. I currently play a Monette B2S3 (compares to a Bach 1 1/4 C). I am interested in working towards lead trumpet, and I need a lead mouthpiece that is right for me. Thanks for your help.

Get a Monette lead mouthpiece with a corresponding rim. Call/email them and ask what they suggest. The Monette equipment usually works better when you use it exclusively.

Agreed. If Monette works for you...then keep with them and find something that works.

Capt. Kirk recommends against getting any mouthpiece with lead.
