Yet another fun thread. I had always been told that all brass mouthpieces contained a little lead, and that was why they plate them and recommend against playing raw or extremely worn mouthpieces.

If the good Captain is really that concerned, he needs to do some research on food products that contain a higher lead content than his mouthpieces.

Hehe, yeah. I'll admit, when I first read the thread title, I thought it said lead as in first trumpet.
