| Hi everyone. I was wondering if there were books or exercises written by Ghitalla or anything that explains his pedagogy out there. I heard some things about a book of flexibility drills and/or some attack exercises but I just don't know what's out there. Any help would be appreciated. Perfectly fine with private messages in the case you don't want to post on the public forum. |

Ha! I was a student there at Rice studying with Ghitalla when Michael Tunnell came to interview him for that article, and we had a fun week hanging out with him. Great memories!
We all told Ghitalla that he should write a method book, but he never got around to it. He did leave behind his transposition studies and the flexibility studies, among other things. He also had a wonderful music notebook of handwritten orchestral excerpts from his student days in his elegant penmanship - a facsimilie of that would be priceless, too.
