When I "came back" I took up with a local community college and found myself attracted to the sound concept of several players. When I asked them I was surprised to find that all of the plyers whose approach I liked best all studied with the same teacher. I called that guy up and was very happy with the results.

If the same is impractical for you then posting your locale here will likely result in some good recomendations.

I'm an adult beginner with no prior brasswind experience, jazz in particular.
