I once was refused to bring my nat onboard, as they stated it was a shotgun.....

Only after assembling it and play it, it was allowed. Those days are now apparently over as well.

I'll call Matthew Parker, and ask him to make me a telescopic nat! That'd be a tromba da tirarsi gone wild!

This isn't the first time for British Airways. I remember a row a couple of years ago when I was living in Europe.

By contrast, Alitalia used to have a full-page ad in their on-board magazine showing musicians and telling how valuable musicians and their instruments are to the culture and airline and how it accommodates them.

I carried that ad with me every time I flew in Europe, although (harrumph) I never had to show it, no matter which European* airline I was flying on at the time.

*("European" not to include the UK)

Excellent, now I can book my fights to and from Europe avoiding British Airways - who are just about my last choice of an airline anyways...
