Apparently there was more than one version of the Reynolds ERA - there was a Clarin and a Professional.
Anyone know what the difference is?

The Professional ERA had a traditional fixed bell and came out in late 1973. The Clarin ERA had the removable tuning bell and no tuning slide. They show up in the December 1974 catalog at a higher price of $650. The Clarin was dropped by 1977 but the Professional was still offered until at least 1978. Most of the examples I have found date to 1975. _________________ BrassHistory.net

According to the Contempora Corner website, the Clarin had a tunable bell (similar to a Schilke tuning bell setup), while the Professional had the same bell profile as the Clarin, only with a fixed bell and a standard main tuning slide.
