Ill be there on Friday
I have some kids in the all southern jazz all stars and they are rehearsing there all day Friday. I'll check in with them and then head into the show and hang out with Trent. Meeting some other players there as well.

Pretty much all of the medium to large instrument manufacturers (of all kinds) should be there - including a few of the smaller players. Some wonderful musicians will show up as well.
I know that’s not very specific, but just go and have a good time.

You can find them in the floor plan. Go to Hall C and zoom in, mostly lower half. Wish I were going, if only because it's 6° in Beantown...

Schilke, Getzen, Kanstul, Yamaha, Bach/Selmer/Conn I know for sure will be there. Yamaha has their own building! I believe NAMM has a smartphone app that lists all the companies and their booth numbers. _________________ J. Fowler

Look closely at the Sonare and Jupiter booths. Last year I was really surprised by all the cool new stuff on offer.
Adams and Carol Brass bear close attention, too.
In the past, there used to be a large contingent of European makers, but I don't know how that's going these days. _________________ RJM

Wish I could be there. If anyone tries the new CarolBrass cornet with the Wild Thing-style slides, please post your first impressions here!
They posted this to their Facebook page just now:

I've attended the NAMM Show for several years however, this year, I have decided to pass.
For you "newbies"...here is some advice....
Be prepared to hear the Double Hb's and K#s played at FFF...it is simply "magical"
Make sure you bring your Trumpet & Flugelhorn mouthpieces so you can play test all of the new toys...it is a lot of fun!
Bring your camera (or phone that takes pictures) since you never know who you might run into. In the past, I've seen...Wayne, Doc, Mangione, Baptist, Ingram just to name a few.
Check out KO's Flex mouthpieces in the Stomvi booth.
Check out Getzen's 3003 Genesis Bb Trumpet in the Getzen Booth.
Check out Kanstul's 925 Flugelhorn (hopefully with a Copper Bell) and other horns in the Kanstul booth.
Bring plenty of $$$ if you want a Hot Dog & Beer for Lunch... ... _________________ God Bless,

I just noticed Inderbinen is going to have a booth at this year's NAMM Show.
I've always wanted to try their "Wood" model Flugelhorn that Roy Hargrove plays.
One of my friends (who is a very good player) said he tried one and it sounded very "dull" to him.
I would be VERY interested in YOUR review of the horn.
If you get a chance to play test it, please post your review on this thread...Thanks! _________________ God Bless,
