Christoph von Dohnányi opens the 2012 Tanglewood season with the very program that was performed at the first Tanglewood concert on Aug. 5, 1937: Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3, Symphony No. 6, the "Pastoral," and Symphony No. 5.

On Saturday, violinist Joshua Bell is the soloist in a program that includes the world premiere of Edgar Meyer's Double Concerto and the Symphony No. 4 by Tchaikovsky, conducted by Michael Stern.

On Sunday conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops welcome Broadway and film icon Bernadette Peters to the Koussevitzky Music Shed.
