I couldn`t resist purchasing an AVAVA- Flugelhorn today. Does anybody here have any experience with this brand? _________________ Torgeir Andresen |

Apparently, you do. Why don't you tell us about it. _________________ Wild Thing Trumpet

How about a photograph and a review....

WHERE did you find that?! No results on ebay, and I don't have the patience to look through all the google search results that seemed to come up with nothing. _________________ Matt Anklan

| Looks chinese to me. The trumpet next to it on the site is a Jinbao, which is one of the better chinese brands; perhaps the flugel was made there to order for this shop, they do a lot of OEM work. If so, chances are it's playable. With some luck, it might even play pretty well. Let us know how it turns out! |

Thanks for the replies. I`m sorry for not giving any responce earlier, but I wanted to first check my Avava in some gigs.
OldEmo: I`m not suprised if the flugelhorn is chinese..
I have now played this horn for a month, and I`m very happy about the purchase. The sound is warmer and the intonation is better than my old Bach flugelhorn, and the price was very low. I only hope the soldering is ok. (The time will show)
I sold my Bach flugelhorn last friday.. _________________ Torgeir Andresen |

china is a hot and cold kind of place putting out both excellent and very poor goods.
the little you can get outside china are reports from buyers. the truth is that if you had inside knowledge, there is plenty of stuff a person is well advised to immediately grab.
if the horn is built sound enough to play well, it's probably very well constructed, and from people who take pride in their product. i wouldn't have concerns about it falling apart.
enjoy the flugel. i would love to hear a sound clip.
