This just came across my FB feed. Seems like they only make Vol. cases ATM, but I we'll be able to get this in a Trumpet case soon.

The case is pretty cool but those bells and whistles come with a price tag - $3850! Ouch! |

That's why they're for string instruments - that's pretty reasonable compared to the value of a good violin. We'll have to wait a while until the tech is cheap enough to use for us. _________________ Bach, Schilke, Pickett mostly |

I like the automatic temperature control system -- never play on an ice cold horn again!
Some other features that could be built into the trumpet version:
Auto-lube system (injects some oil into each valve casing every time the horn is placed into the case, then works each valve a pre-determined number of times to distribute the oil.
Auto-clean (runs a snake through the horn at pre-programmed times while the horn is in the case).
Auto-buff (inside of case, lined with anti-tarnish material, moves around to wipe down the instrument every time the case is closed).
Any other ideas?

You could always just leave your iPhone in the case. If the horn gets stolen you can then use "where's my iPhone". |

One downside to the tracking system is that the IRS will know where and when you play your gigs. |
