I've just acquired a Buescher 9, I think from about 1918. I don't think the shank on my GRe65ms is going to fit - I've not even tried it. Any mouthpiece recommendations for this little horn?

Contact Mark Curry. I sent him a mouthpiece that fits those horns so he could scan it. I'm sure he could make you something nice that will fit.

You're right, your GR won't fit well, if at all.

I make a vintage shank taper that works on a bunch of pre 1930 receivers like the Buescher. It is a threaded backbore that works with the universal "Warburton" threads.

I love these old horns but it's often tricky to find the best match mpc wise.
