I am very pleased to announce that the Third Millennium Ensemble has awarded "Summer Suite" both Third Prize in their 2013 Composers Competition and the 2013 Cheryl A. Spector Prize.
The Ensemble will perform the arrangement for trumpet, piano & string quartet on their 2013/14 concert season. That arrangement was created for James Ackley, who recorded it for his 2012 CD "New American Works for Trumpet."
The arrangement of "Summer Suite" for trumpet and string orchestra was recently published by Imagine Music Publishing.
A revised score of the arrangement for trumpet and chamber orchestra was premiered at the 2013 Tutti New Music Festival by Mark Alan Wade and the Denison University Orchestra under Andrew Strietelmeier.
