Depends on sooooooooooo many factors and the condition of the horn.
I saw a used Jazz at a Helmers Music store a few years ago. It was in beautiful shape. He was asking $1,500.00 for it (tttttttoooohigh!) He was insulted when I offered him $750.00 cash for it. A few months went bye. and found out that it had just sold the day before and was told that they got tired of having it sitting around......and the associate behind the counter said that he sold it to a music instructor in Port Angles for only $700.00. Also they mentioned that it was often used as a loaner when new trumpets were sent in for repair and that this pristine Callet Jazz...had picked up some really noticable "shop-hanger rash" in the process of only 3 months as their "loanerr-instrument!"
What a tragic story what can happen to a quality used horn....
Both my Callet Jazz and Symphonique C were purchased from Jerome Callet...direct.
Paid $1000.00 for a the used (like new ding-free) Jazz and
$1300.00 for the C from Jerome.
Both horns were shop demos' and the C was a favorite of Jerry's Colleague Joe who now lives in florida.
Remember that used horns......vary sooooooooo much and it can be a real "turkey-shoot!" Hopefully you won't end up with A DEAD TURKEY...
