Tasty solo! I love Harden's easy, conversational style. He's just telling a story with no fancy machinations required. Lot's of nice space, and even an unexpected use of trills.
I never heard of this album, but I'll have to go get it now. The last little bit if Trane's solo makes me want to go back and hear it all.
Thanks for posting this Jeff. |

I used to listen to that album many times a day. That side, as a matter of fact. I used to test my pitch memory and try to sing a concert E-flat, and then put on that record and see how close I was.
Was his name originally misspelled on that album? I was thinking I remember seeing it spelled Hardin . . . or is my memory just shot?
Nice job, Jeff! _________________ Puttin’ On The Ritz |

No idea - I didn't have this until it was released on CD.
I didn't know Harden's solo well enough to notice until I'd transcribed it, but it sure sounds like he had a different idea about what the changes were on the second half of the bridge... _________________ Jeff Helgesen
