I've wanted a B6 for a number of years but not seen one at a price I thought made sense for me. Finally, I found one from the early 70s in excellent shape for VERY short money compared to what they normally sell at. I've wanted to try this model for small combo jazz stuff. Anyone else use a B6 for that genre? It seems to meet my expectations ... plus. I play a 2 bore 1946 Committee most, so the blow is similar. I use the same mouthpiece on both. Anyway, guess I'm just happy with it so far and glad I found this one. GREAT valves too.

nice score!

I had a B6-L beryllium in college (U of I Champaign) and played my senior recital on it. With the right mouthpiece it could sound very dark. With the lead mouthpiece Puh-lenty of sizzle!

My committee passed me, so it must have done the job right!

My experience as well. With my Heim 2, fairly dark... but when pushed, "sizzle".
