I have read a lot about Austin Winds trumpets lately, and find them very interesting. I am eager to try one, but livlig in Norway makes this difficult. Any of you got experience with these horns? I intend to use it mostly in small jazz groups, but also in a big band.
I currently play a Getzen Eterna Severinsen lagre bore 1973 trumpet. I really like this trumpet, but are looking to try something even more freeblowing and dark sounding.
What about the Balanced Ballad 1 vs the Stage 470 model? Any opinions?
