Hi Nate, great stuff, I'm going to show it to my band classes after we finish our solo and ensemble concert. I'm inspired as I am starting my own little big band and begin rehearsals next month. I'm still chart hunting, have some , but need more.

Fantastic video. I was listening to it but not watching and I got rather confused when I thought I was listening to one of the BBC big band guys playing a solo exactly like Jon Faddis! Does anyone know who the trumpet soloist in the band is?

I wouldn't say like Faddis, but that young man can blow! And Derek Watkins was a Mofo . . . oops, I mean Mellow Fellow!

Nate, the guy who I thought sounded just like Jon Faddis was Jon Faddis! I wasn't looking at the video and had no idea he was in it until his first solo. I was really impressed by the soloist in the section as well.

Oh yeah, I see. I didn't get what you were saying the first time. I am knocked out by Faddis' playing on this gig. He is putting a lot of emotional power through that horn. Beautiful technique and effortless communication from the soul.

And Derek Watkins was a . . .
