Hi Friends!
Just a head's up that Bob Slack is the latest guest on The Other Side of the Bell trumpet podcast. You'll remember Bob from the William Adam Tribute Episode but I'm so glad he joined me for his own episode.
Bob talks about his time in Indiana under Mr. Adam and how that shaped his later career, from his time on Buddy Rich's Big Band to his current role as Dean of Fine and Performing Arts at Citrus College.
On a personal note, Bob was a huge inspiration for me and had a huge impact on my life even though I studied at Citrus College for one semester.
You can listen online or download the episode at www.bobreeves.com/34
Cheers!

Yeah, Mr Slack was a model example for the students when I went there (1990-92). Great band and a great music school to attend. |

Bob was there when I was at IU (84ish) just off the road with "road chops." Glad to hear he's doing well! |
