Do the 600 series have the same undercut as the standard series? I ask because I tried an 8.5DE and C and found my chops get hooked into the cup, catching on the bite point just above the undercut. I am wondering if the 600 series would work better? Over the last year or two I have found my chops seems to catch on any rim with a sharpish inside edge, to the point where they will stop vibrating. Chasing the curry solution for price point and ability to match rims cross different depths.

Had a 60M and 60C awhile back, and now have an 80TF. I don't feel hooked in, just comfortable support.

I play the Curry 3C. for pretty much everything.

When I play with loud rock bands, I reach for the 60M. It definitely has less of an inner edge than my 3C. or 3Z.. and is comfortable to play really long, loud gigs on. I'll be using it this Saturday with my friend's rock band, for sure.

So I think that you would do well to check one a 600 series piece. They're certainly modestly priced enough to take a chance.

My guess to you original question is No. I've played and still play from time to time Curry pieces (2, 3 and 5 rims) but i've never had success with the 600 series. I've tried M, C and S cups in various sizes but i can't get along with those pieces, they feel too much different on the lips from the standard Curry cups i'm used to.

No. The 600 series all have the same alpha angle for all sizes and depths. I believe around a 15 or 16 degree angle.

The standard series have different angles depending on the depth. So the shallower the cup, the higher the angle.

The curry 600 will be more forgiving that the DE I would imagine.
