I wear a beret most days, at least in the winter. That, and my goatee, make me the last surviving member of the "beat" generation.
The "Monty" beret is the bomb!! I was recently in NYC and a waiter at Junior's on West 45th made a point of asking me where he could get one!!
I wear it when I jam at Smalls, too. It gives me inspiration/connects me to the bebop era!!

I once made a conductor happy by putting the pacific cloth bag I keep my horn in when it's in the case over my bell. It's heavier than flannel. It's main purpose is to slow silver from tarnishing though. _________________ Benge CG, Early '70s Selmer piccolo, Early '80s Selmer piccolo, Conn 12A cornet, Conn 38A cornet, Conn 48A Connqueror "Vocabell", Conn Connquest 76A cornet, Conn Director 17A Coprion cornet, Conn Director 15A cornet, '50 Olds valve/slide trombone |
