Hello,
I live in The Sf bay area, specifically in San Jose. I've been going to the same brass text for nearly a decade now, but I recently got some less than reputable work, and I'm looking for someone new. Any recommendations in my area?
Thanks |

I haven't used any techs in your part of the Bay Area. I have had work done by Best (Oakland) and Anthony's (San Rafael; a woodwind specialist but he does good work on brass as well). Since I'm not current on who's still around at Best, and hate to drive to Oakland and back in the first place, I generally let the value of the instrument and the extent of the work determine where to go - and in most cases, it's either to Robb Stewart or Mark Metzler (Charlie Melk is great, too, but his waiting list is often longer than I would like). That guarantees that I won't receive anything but the very best work. _________________ Vintage Olds & Reynolds & Selmers galore
