Hello Folks,

i transcribed a great solo by Greg Gisbert, full of tasty bebop vocabulary.

Yeah man!! Thanks for sharing this. I love Greg's vocabulary and harmonic sense. Very clever cat and EXTREMELY underrated.

Greg is also a hell of a utility player, I've heard him on Latin gigs, and seen him cover the lead book very competently.

And if you ever had a chance to meet Greg, he is very giving and willing to share info, very humble and just a great example of what talented human being should be.

Yeah man!! Greg's side slips are about the sickest around... Super clear ideas and wonderful melodic development. Awesome player. And like was noted... He's a heck of a lead player etc... He just plays the piss out of the tpt.

Greg told me once he got his lead chops happening after spending time working with Roger Ingram on the road together. In fact last time I saw him Greg was still playing an old Yamaha Z he got from Roger.

It's rare to find a player like Greg. Such fantastic vocab , bebop chops, and modern harmonic sense, AND being able to play lead with such style and presence and just crush a double C when he needs to.

I wanna be like Greg when I grow up someday!!

Excellent work! And thank you for not using "jazz" font!

Greg has such an incredible way of developing his ideas rhythmically and harmonically at the same time. He'll start an idea, and it never ceases to surprise how he turns the phrase around. Always with impeccable time, tone, and clarity.
