Re: Marcinkiewicz E12.4 (Ingram) trumpet mouthpiece.
I love this mouthpiece for the high energy, commercial performing I do, but am struggling a little when it comes to softer, more gentle playing, using this piece.
(Small-group Jazz for instance)
For those who use the Ingram, what mouthpiece do you use for the 'other' stuff?
Bear in mind, there is NOWHERE in Australia to try any mouthpieces, hence the need to ask.
Thank you! |

Roger Ingram sells several Signature mouthpieces himself ... check them out
Or ... I like the Bach Mt Vernon 10.5 C ... not to difficult to come by. _________________ Schilke X3 Bb trumpet

Yamaha 13C4 is a pretty easy switch for me (like a bach 6C).

I use the E12.4 Ingram for lead and often switch to my old Giardinelli 2-piece 7M when I need something a little more all-round.
I also use the Giardinelli 10s sometimes too for lead - I find it a little less in-your-face. |

Am aware of the onetwotree pieces, but the diameter specs are all different, and especially so with the 12.4 Marc.
Then the price including exchange rate, doesn't rate them any consideration for me - way too expensive.
The Giardinelli's might be worth considering, if I can find one, and the 10.5 bachs are worth a look.
Moreso, after just a TINY bit deeper though, rather than a whole different cup.
Thanks everyone! |

Hello Trumpethead
I played for 3 years the Ingram Marcinkiewicz.
For classical, or melodic music, jazz, it was ok for me to play with yamaha 7B4, or Bach 10 3/4 A.
The ID of the Bach was to me the closest to Ingram s.
But i didn t like their rim, while the Marcinkiewicz was ideal to me.
So i asked Marcinkiewicz to make me custom mpcs with different cup depths, throats, bb.
I put them in Trade or trial these last days, for i don t play some of them anymore, for i upsized a little bit (0.05mm) with other custom mpcs.
So try the yamaha 7B4 and/or Bach 10 3/4 A, and not the CW because the rim is too different.
If you re interested in the custom mpcs based on Ingram rim, please pm me.
