I have some spare clips from a couple of broken clip-on tuners, and I was wondering what to do with them while eating some ice-cream. It occured to me that i can use the clips together with the ice cream tub to DIY a bucket mute.
Anyone DIY a bucket mute before? I know some trombonists who have. Any suggestions on how to make one? I'm not exactly sure what things i should do and should not do. _________________ YTR 8310Z Bobby Shew Model |

Old post - but I have made some bucket mutes, where I put a super-magnet (neodymium) in the bottom of the bucket. Then the bucket clips easily to the music stand, all you have to do is to direct the trumpet into it. I tried gluing the magnets, but it would not hold. Then I bought magnets which could be screwed on. |
