what i have noticed about harrelson is the many players who have had them and then sold them, or have gotten them but subsequently got something else as a daily player.
people have gone through a lot to get one only to have things not work out.

You're actually onto something there. I and two of my colleagues all got Harrelsons around the same time. Two of us had gotten secondhand horns that we really liked but thought weren't the right fit. So the two of us plus a third guy all ordered horns. We actually got the new horns fairly quickly. However, within 6 months none of us had them any longer.

The first horns we had were made with Kanstul parts and were great quality. The newer horns used valves and bells from a different supplier and were not so great. There had been a shift in quality and none of us were pleased. One guy had gotten a 909 (heavy sheet bracing) and had a large brace come unsoldered. The way the horn had been assembled had created so much stress on that spot that the solder wouldn't hold.

Disclaimer: This was the better part of 8 or 9 years ago- I have no idea what his current product/quality is like.

Trent is a great guy and I am happy to see customers come his way. I say that and I am a long time Harrelson owner. My recent Summit:

Mostly those are the only things you see posted. Those of us who get our dream horn and use it as our daily player year in and year out usually don't keep posting about it ( or more likely don't post at all)

I have enjoyed my Harrelson 909 mod on my Besson Brevete by Kanstul for many years as well as my Harrelson Bravura I have had for several years (and will be playing during a 4th of July celebration this weekend). So sad that people take cheap shots at Jason yet never played his horns. Their intonation, tone quality and playability are unmatched.

I hear where your coming from regarding cheap shots but this seems to be a very honest and respectful crowd as of yet. No low blows, just people voicing their experiences and answering reasonable questions.

Kevin,

I agree.

Past posts from a few irresponsible members had a very negative impact on his business which I believe was unfair to him.

Me taking the 1st shot on this post was unnecessary and irresponsible as well.

I apologize to anyone I offended.
