Is, or has, anyone playing/played a Purviance 5*K4?
Can you compare it to a Reeves, Bush or Bach?
Much appreciated.

Is very close to the Reeves 42C cup and rim (mabe a hair deeper) with #25 bore and the one and only bbore that Carol made and all of his stock pieces have , if we can compare this bbore with a Reeves bbore is something between #2 and #69 bbores.

Regards

Thanks, giakara. I've been playing a 42D, so a 42C would be basically the same size as a 42D, only with a shallower cup?

Yes the D cup is swallower and more V shaped but those three cups are very close, and the rims also , but the bbore is different, it feels more open and much brighter than standard #2 .
In general the Reeves line is based a lot in the Purviance design but the sound is more suited with the modern sound concept in recording sessions and modern stages , I really like them both...

Regards
