Hi fellow trumpeters!
My new album, Worlds Wide, releases today (June 30, 2017) on Ear Up records.
The album is made up of new compositions inspired by places real and imaginary, including a valley in Ireland, a waterfall in Iceland, a desolate planet , and a frantic trip through Copenhagen to rescue lost luggage. It also includes a three-part suite inspired by the Gullah Music of St. Helena Island that features Roy Agee, Steve Bailey, and Victor Wooten.
I'm super proud of this one and hope you will consider checking it out.
Here's a video of the opening track, Departure, which is an overture for the album:

(I'm playing a 1940 M Bore NY Bach and Patrick 7.3c on this album)
You can find links to purchase on the various formats here:

Thanks and happy shedding!

Wow, Matt, you've come a long way in the 20 years I've known you!
(Can you believe it's been that long?)
The video looks and sounds excellent. Kudos to you, Matt!
Send my regards to Steve Bailey . . . we go back more than 20 years.

Thanks Rich!
And no - I can't believe it's been that long. I vividly remember playing an Easter gig with you my freshman year. First time I ever played piccolo trumpet!
Thanks for checking out the video. I'm glad you dig it. I'll see Steve this week and will be sure to say hello. Let's hang next time I'm near Asheville (or you're near Myrtle)!
Best!
