"The cash register is in the mid and low register" to quote some of the great teachers in the trumpet arena.

That is the focus of today's early morning warm up.

I am listening for overtones, projection, resonance and focusing on the feel of the process.

Recording is via cell phone 20' ahead.

Cielings are two story and room extends roughly 48' on the first story and 96' on the second story.

Good to display a full sound. Critique? You are playing low on the note. It sounds like your tongue is flat on the bottom of your mouth. The result is that you are missing high overtones and that makes it borderline flat in pitch. Plus the air issues that go along with that. But not a bad sound.

I again have to wonder how much more resonant you would be on your Curry 70S.

Fun, I love playing in the biggest most resonant space I can find.. My dad was a Minister so, I had a church in my back yard for a practice space.

I too, heard something (slightly) overcooked in the sound... tongue position / or vowel shape as mentioned previously, or possibly you were pushing too much. Especially in a "warm-up" I would focus on the concept of singing a round vowel .. I got the sence that you were almost yelling (through the trumpet)-too much push.

Some of the pitch issues, that you adjusted as you held notes, would be mitigated with more roundness... tone and pitch go hand-in-hand.
