Hello, my name is Daniel, I am from Spain, I have been playing trumpet for 4 years now and I have purchased “The Balanced Embouchure” book.
I have read it and I like it very much, congratulations! For me, It was a surprise the chapter about Mind and Body as it is not usually referred to when talking about trumpet, but I felt identified with the idea of avoiding chemicals and using alternative medicine (take a look at kinesiotherapy, it is incredible).
Regarding the strange exercises (haha), I find Roll-Out kind of easy to do and so with Roll-In. However, after practicing Roll-In #1, if I continue by playing songs, for example, my sound is like “grrr” (that broken sound when your muscles are tired). The thing is that the Roll-in exercise sounds well and I do not find it difficult but then the songs or any study done after it sounds bad.
Given that, I would like to know if I am supposed to continue practicing and this sound is normal at the beginning or after doing Roll-In nothing else must be played until the next day (because maybe I should play the Roll-In exercise at the end of the day so that if I am tired after doing it, it does not matter).
Kind regards,
Daniel |
