I was hoping someone can give me some information about Jerry. I know a relative of his and would like to give her some better information about his playing style and technique. Her son just started playing the trumpet, he is 10, and he wants to play like him.
I know Jerry was friends with Doc Severinson and played along side with him alot, but are there any recordings of the 2 of them playing?

Thanks for the help.

John

Hi,

I am glad that you asked about Jerry Franks - A player that Doc Severinsen said once was better then him - pretty high praise indeed. I have attached two links that might help you.

If you want more information you can purchase the book: "Trumpet of Clay - The Jerry Franks Story" by Toni Morehead It is available through Amazon.com

I hope this helps!

Mike
