Rowan University is pleased to announce that, in conjunction with the upcoming Black Dyke Band concerts, it has procured the services of four of the top principal players to present master classes.
These classes are on January 30th, 2004, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Wilson Building at Rowan University and they are free and open to the public. Musicians should bring their instruments.
The soloists are world-class virtuosos:
Roger Webster, cornet
Brett Baker, trombone
David Thornton, euphonium
Joseph Cook, tuba
and all have recorded solo works for major labels. They all travel, perform and teach extensively throughout Europe and the US. Their biographies can be found at:

Go and see this!!!!!!!!!!!
Having been to a couple of masterclasses given by members of Black Dyke (including Roger) and have found each of them to be stunning. It's worth turning up not just to get the thoughts of stunning players, but also just to hear them play! |

Definatelty worth seeing any of these masterclasses if you can get to them. Roger is just the ultimate cornet player, but the other guys are just fantastic. I work with David Thornton at the same school, and he is truly a master of the euphonium. _________________ Adrian

njp,
Are you going to the Roger Webster masterclass?
How about a report for the TH members who can't make it.
Cheers,
Ted |
