I heard the Philadelphia Orchestra when they were on a tour in the late ‘80s. After the performance I went around back to see if players were coming out and got to talk with Frank for a few minutes. He was very cordial and encouraging (to this young guy he had never met) and I left knowing he was far more than a great player. So glad he lived a good long life and had a great career with many fine recordings. RIP, sir.

I never met Mr. Kaderabek, but we have an interesting connection. We're both of Czech origin and I own one of his orchestral C trumpets.

Note that Jeff Purtle has an interview with Frank Kaderabek (at age 94) in the Videos section.

And Jeff also has a recital of his https://www.purtle.com/audio/claude-gordon-brass-camp-1991-frank-kaderabek-recital

There are also lots of great comments in this thread in the video/audio forum
