Folks,
I post this in this forum because It is probably
that some will read this and know the proper
answer.
I play in a Lutheran Brass Ensemble, a very
good ensemble with many pro players
here in Argentina. We have thousand of
church literature, but we enjoy to perform
the Salvation Army charts because they
add something modern to our classic
church repertoire.
I wonder if someone could recommend me a
couple of modern arrangements for Easter and Pre Easter ( It is Lent in English??? ) that
are not Hymns ( We have a lot ). We normally
replace the alto horns with French horns
and they do it fine, and cornet by Trumpets,
and the Sop by Eb, Picc or even the Sop
if match.
Ted I think you know a lot of this.
Thanks for your help.
Gus

Gus, you'll probably get a better response in the "Literature" forum. Salvation Army cornet players might hang here, but the "Literature" forum is more likely to have group leaders looking at your post.
Sorry, I can't help you, but I DO love the SA.
