Hello,

I would like to hear opinions/experiences with Pilczuk
leadpipes on Bach Strads, particularly Strad 37 (ML) or
72 (ML or MLV) models. Does someone even own a
Pilczuk pipe "c47x" and can say something of the behaviour of that particular model?

Thanks, Jochen

Jochen,

Don't know if this will help you at all, but I had a Pilczuk R39XV installed on my Bach C a number of years ago by a local guy who is a big advocate of Pilczuk's. It did improve intonation, as best as I can remember, but didn't turn the horn into anything special. That happened when I had Ron Pinc & Scott Laskey "convert" it.
