I have played some Blackburn trumpets and I think they are great. I have a Bach C now and I don't care for it.

Any day now my new Monette C will arrive.
I think that a Blackburn would be a very wise choice.

My old professor has one if you are interested. It is a terrific horn and he and I stand behind it 100%. Let me know if you would be interested. It would save you the $4000 or so price tag.

I actually have a C on order, I'll be driving down in 2 weeks to spend a day at the shop. Heres a question I have, I haven't heard nearly to the extremes that Monette horns garner, but I have heard some talk of people prejudice to Blackburns in the same manner, regarding the sound. Thats they don't like to play next to people with Blackburns because they don't blend. None of this sways my decision (obviously, as I wouldn't have shelled out the $$). I'm just wondering what people opinions on the horns are, preferably from the take of playing with people who own them, not playing the horns themselves. Thanks alot,
Kyle

Might want to re-read what I wrote ... not saving $4000, but the fact of paying $4000 or so.

Not a problem ... I almost believed your earlier statement. English is far from my best subject. On top of that, I have a Cajun accent, so it sounds like English is my 2nd language to begin with.
