When I look at the Monette MFIII mouthpiece it is very very shallow, but when I look at the Kanstul Comparator the MF3 copy has a deep cup. Why? Are the MFIII and the MF3 different mouthpieces?

Those are two totally different mouthpieces.

The MF3 on the comparator is the original Monette MF model, a copy of the kind of piece he used for years.

Monette's new MFIII is similar to a Schilke 13A4a, and a derivation of the Monette MFII.

O.K. I was just getting them confused because they are both MF three mouthpieces. One spelt MFIII and one spelt MF3. One with roman numerals and one with numbers.

Thanks for the info.

Does kanstul or anybody else make/sell a copy of the Monette MFIII? (New maynard Model)
