Turn the volume down folks. I think I blew out a soundcard,
or at least the left channel.

Enjoy!

I nearly shat my pants when they screeched up there.

That is something I could do without ever hearing again.

Oh, man! I WISH I could do that!!!

I'd give up all of my tone, technique, first born, etc. just to be able to scream like that. I wish, I wish.....

This is EXACTLY why I love music so much.

Was 911 called? Surely, someone there ripped a hernia.

You've gotta admit, the Tasteebros took a concept that lots of trumpet players understood, and turned it into a funny and profitable venture, and added a word to the trumpet world's vocab.

*drops dead at computer with ears bleeding*

Wow, that really is something that I don't ever want to hear again. It's like the fingernails on a blackboard symphony Holiday Pops concert.

A friend of mine sent me the mp3 of that today. Took me a good 30 minutes to stop crying and breathe again, and another 30 minutes before I was able to get rid of the cramp in my side -- I haven't laughed that hard in a LONG time! Gotta love Scotty and Donny -- If you take this seriously, you need to lighten up and have a beer for heaven's sake!

I'm still waiting to see them featured on Steve Harvey's Big Time.

To echo Dave Hickman, "I wish, I wish, I wish...."

I just can't stop playing the thing!

I do have a serious question about the playing in general. (It was halarious), but how much embrouchure muscle strength is involved in those crazy notes?

I hear all the time "It's all air" but when I blow a lot of air, I just get a louder note, not a higher one. My toungue is arched and my middle is focused, but not pinched, but I can barely get out a kinda tinny sounding High F. What goes into those kind of notes?

GMac, Air is a HUGE part of it, but there are other things involved to. Be sure you are really using more CONCENTRATED air and lots of it. I mean, if I just concentrate for a second take a huge breath of air and concentrate it, you can really nail those notes. Just think that you are sending a laser straight through the thing.

Its about keeping yourself relaxed. I think that is one of the biggest problems people have with range. I have to force myself to not tense up and I tell you it works. Before you are about to play somethine higher, just take the horn away from your face and take a couple deep breaths and then exhale. Then keep your shoulders down and play.

I know all of these things have been said many times, but it also has to do with keeping your tounge arched (something I don't do enough, or atleast don't worry about when playing) and embrochure.

Give that a try next time you practice and let me know if that helps at all.

By the way, that song was discusting. I mean come on, mabye as a joke, but who would honestly want to sit and listen to that lol.

To echo the earlier sentiments: Wish I could do that!

Who ever takes this kinda stuff seriously?

I listened to it a few time and laughed my head off, but you would never find it in my favorites list on my MP3 player...

Besides...It's Christmas!
