This might be a silly question, but I've started doing Caruso exercises (now out of the book! Going to try the "Getting Started Schedule")
I've done my morning "warm-up"/first session on C trumpet, and I've been doing my CC exercises on C trumpet out of habit. Is there any reason why I should do them on Bb instead? _________________ More than one trumpet

You should be doing them on both horns. Obviously not twice in one sitting, but trade off every few days. I like to play the majority of the music I practice on both horns to keep my chops up on both seeing as though I play them both regularly. If the majority of the work you're doing in ensembles is on one horn, then it's always ok to favor that one, but don't neglect the other. _________________ Bb: Yamaha 9335NY Gen3

I'm not worried about neglecting playing on a Bb, its more a Caruso question (whether or not its a good idea to do those on C) _________________ More than one trumpet

When I was studying with Carmine, I was doing a fair amount of orchestral work. His advice was to split the exercises up between the Bb, C, and D each day.
