Hey 'BigRichard:'

Wouldja mind emailing me a set of Boyde's studies? I'd be interested in seeing them. He gave me some stuff, but perhaps not what you have ... thanks in advance.

Todd,

Boyde's drills have not had any significant change. He writes some variations on some of his drills, but chances are you have exactly what "bigrichard" has.

Hey Guys:

I am not sure if what I have is the same as ya'll. But Wayne Bergeron gave me a copy of Boyd's, I guess you would call it, version of the Stamp warm ups or modified Stamp ...maybe. They are excellent and take about 30 minutes. It was all hand copy, so I put it in Finale. I changed the eighth notes on some of the scale examples to sixteenth's, more because of the way Wayne showed them to me, than just to change them.

I would be glad to email them to anyone who would like them, if I can figure out how to get form OS9 to OS X into my email...LOL! Have a great day,

Rog

To Shofar,

Thank you very much for the Hood - Stamp extentions by Wayne Bergeron. They are great and printed out quite nicely. It was very nice of you to spend your time to send the exercises to me.

Thanks again,

Logan

Hey Logan:

More than happy to be of help. I am not sure these are what most of you guys were looking for as far as the mouthpiece exercises...but I am sure they will be of great help.

See ya,

Rog

Someone here has them. I can tell you that they're not that much different from the basic Stamp drills, and incorporate some VCichowicz-like stuff in them.

They are nice cuz they give you a break from the straight Jimmy stuff if you're getting stale on it.

Hi Todd,

I beg to differ with anybody about this subject, but I think while the teaching concepts are similar to those of Stamp, the physical studies themselves bear little resemblance to Stamp.
If somebody would give me a US fax number, I will fax one copy to him/her if he/she promises to E-mail to all who is interested.
Let me know.

Mike

Sorry to butt in but Zachenos (elsewhere on TH) gives the first mouthpiece drill as follows:

"The first exercise in his routine went like this: middle G, F#, G, up a fourth to C, G, down to low E, low C, (breath) then, G, F, E, D, C. Then repeat the pattern down a half step....."

There is a slight similarity to Cichowicz's moving long-tone exercise

Now I'll butt out.

Because, I haven't the technology to send the drills via E-mail, If somebody sends me their fax number I will send it...I hope that person will share it with everybody interested.

I got the drills from Mike. I need to 'work them over' a little bit and then I'll post them here for everyone to D/L.
