Made somewhere between 1911-15

Has had a valve overhaul and other minor repairs; plays excellent.

Boston Three Star cornet, 1886. Still plays better than anything else I use.

Look for the serial number on your Courtois under the third valve cap. That is where they put it. Check all three in case they are no longer in the proper order.

The number is 42xx-so it must be made around 1860-1861

1924 Conn 22B that I really enjoy playing. (Played it on my lunch hour today.) I also have eight trumpets from the 1930s: Conn 10B New Era, Conn 58B New Era, and six King Liberty models.

My oldest instrument is a 1905 York Eb tuba. My oldest high brass instrument is a 1921 Conn 10A Wonder "Vocal" cornet.
