Defining Flugel Bore Sizes?

These days there seems to be a multitude of flugel horns out there with a wide range of bore sizes. Some are described accurately with measurements ranging from .413 to .460 while others simply say small, medium small or medium etc. Where exactly on the horn do you measure the diameter of the tubing to gain the correct measurement? Maybe some of our music industry members can shed some light on this matter?

Good general rule Small=.413 (Courtois,Couesnon,etc.0 Medium=.433(yamaha) Large= .460(alot of american makers) these blw like a trunpet
